Transits of Life for March
This month, as spring draws near, I am writing about one of my favorite subjects: understanding. Spring is when we melt, and understanding makes things flow again after the stasis of winter. I wish to bring some points to your attention today, so you will understand your Pisces friend, family member or lover better. I feel that no other sign is as misunderstood as the Pisces, not even Scorpio or Gemini, two signs which have a history of drama and complexity. So let me begin by looking at Pisces from an archetypal Goddess standpoint. All of the Zodiac signs bring something unique to the Creation, and no sign duplicates another, but they are all a combination of the God and Goddess elements. For some of the twelve signs, such as Taurus or Libra, the Goddess is paramount. For others, such as Aquarius or Aries, the Goddess qualities and traits are indirect or diffused. For Pisces, the Goddess energy is strong because Pisces is a feminine sign. However, that strength is cut because the planet that rules Pisces is the ultra masculine king of the gods, Jupiter. He is the largest planet and the one most concerned with beliefs, philosophy and dissemination of information, such as in broadcasting or print. Your Pisces friend is not the great Goddess herself like Taurus, she is the child of the Goddess and the king of the gods, Jupiter. She is the combination of the Mother/Father archetype, and so is the Child! These early spring born people are mutable and changeable. They are capable of being confident speakers of philosophical truth as well as being con artists and adventurers. They came to earth on the same ship with uncle Sagittarius, and that means they are the world’s greatest salespeople to get you to believe in a dream. Do you get the picture? Your Pisces friend has a sense of royal entitlement that some find most attractive and others take for over confidence. He is anything but passive and “vulnerable” when he remembers his god powers and luck, gifts of his Father Jupiter. But the true calling of Pisces is the spiritual path of service, and to enter the other realms on our behalf, finding answers in the psychic void. This is their deepest Goddess trait, their caring and compassion. They explore other realms and make sacrifices because they are the child of their Mother, the great Goddess. To me, it is obvious that Pisces plays the role of child. They show a marked preference for a childlike state that gets mistaken for agreement, feminine vulnerability or passivity. With a Pisces, you get exactly what you put into the relationship. Like the child of any family, the Pisces is misunderstood for the reason they do such a good job acting as a mirror of the adults. Whatever you are suppressing will be mirrored in someone else, sooner or later. All modern humans need to understand the psychological tendency towards projection. We externalize our own faults and someone nearby is vulnerable to playing the role out for us. That is why children need to have healthy adults around them, to keep their innocent mirroring from drawing a projected hate beam (or worse). Pisces people have a charm as only a divine child can have. It is easy to misunderstand your Pisces friend, a sweet and malleable creature who seems to feel all your pain. Your friend or lover is reflecting you back to yourself. The child role in the family is always to do this. It gives rise to many mistakes in relationships, mistakes by and about the Pisces person in love. So much of the trouble comes from people who make projections of their own emotions and unresolved issues, just as we know it is unfair to blame the child, so it is unfair to bring your baggage and blame the mirror for it. Are you close to a Pisces? Listen up, you need to make sure that you respect what is truly important to your love, or he will not respect you. He or she is a very big believer in ideals. You need them too. What is the mystery about Pisces? The eternal mystery is how fascinated we are by someone who has the great talent to mirror our emotions to us. Pisces is an excellent actor (and dancer) and a sympathetic listener as well. You need to understand that they already have the mysteries under their belt or they would not have been born as this sign. You have to take it on faith. Not all Pisces know or understand their spiritual path, but they all have a calling for spiritual service. All Pisces know that they are the special child of the Gods, so make sure to remind your friend of the Guardian Angel and the Inner Guides. The next time they are feeling the role of helpless child they can understand and forgive themselves for doing what comes naturally. The Guides are always near and Pisces the psychic is aware of their presence. Investigate your Guides and you will become like our lovable and loving friends the Pisces.
